Step-by-step guide: from install to your first confirmed order

Simple steps, no technical knowledge needed. Choose your platform.

Shopify

  1. Open the Shopify App Store, search for revclar and open Revclar: SMS Confirmations. Click Install and approve. You also get a welcome email with these steps.
  2. In the app, open Settings and check that SMS sending is ON (it is ON from the start).
  3. Your wallet starts with a free $0.50. To add more, open Billing → Top up, choose $5 and approve the payment in Shopify.
  4. In Settings, choose the language of the SMS, write your store name in Store name in SMS (max 15 characters) and, if you want, your own button text in Button line 1 and Button line 2. Click Save.
  5. In Settings, customize the colors of the confirmation page (top bar, button, background) to match your store, and check them in the live preview. Your logo is taken automatically from your theme; turn off Show store logo to show your store name instead.
  6. In your own store, place a test order with cash on delivery and enter your own mobile number.
  7. In a few seconds you get the SMS. Open the link and tap the confirm button.
  8. In Shopify, open Orders. The order now has the tag ADDRESS_PHONE_CONFIRMED. To see only confirmed orders, type tag:ADDRESS_PHONE_CONFIRMED in the search box.
  9. Call the orders without the ADDRESS_PHONE_CONFIRMED tag. Call first the orders tagged SMS_NOT_SENT: they did not get the SMS (the reason is in the order note).

WooCommerce

  1. In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New, search for Revclar SMS Confirmations, click Install, then Activate.
  2. Open smsconfirmations-woo.revclar.com, enter your email and open the sign-in link we send you. No password needed.
  3. Click Generate pairing token and copy the token (it is shown only once).
  4. In WordPress, open WooCommerce → SMS Confirmations, paste the token and click Connect. SMS sending starts now.
  5. Open the Subscription & payments tab, choose $5 and pay by card.
  6. Open the Settings tab, choose the language of the SMS and click Save settings. (Store name in SMS and your own button text are only on Shopify for now.)
  7. In your own store, place a test order with cash on delivery and enter your own mobile number.
  8. In a few seconds you get the SMS. Open the link and tap the confirm button.
  9. In WooCommerce → Orders, the SMS column shows Confirmed (status ADDRESS_PHONE_CONFIRMED).
  10. Call the orders that do not show Confirmed. Call first the ones marked Not sent (SMS_NOT_SENT): the reason is shown next to it.

Shopify

How do I install the app?

Install it from the Shopify App Store. It installs in a few minutes and needs no changes to your theme or checkout. Once connected, every new COD order is handled automatically.

How does the SMS confirmation work?

A customer places a cash-on-delivery (COD) order in your store. Within seconds they receive an SMS with a unique, single-use confirmation link. One tap confirms the order. A confirmation verifies two things: the address is correct and the phone is good (the SMS arrived and the customer tapped). Shopify is updated instantly with the ADDRESS_PHONE_CONFIRMED tag, so your team ships with confidence.

If a customer does not confirm, the order simply stays untagged, so you know it needs a second look. Nothing is cancelled without your say.

What does the WRONG_ADDRESS tag mean?

If a customer taps the "wrong address" button on the confirmation page, the order is tagged WRONG_ADDRESS. The page then tells the customer to contact your store with the correct address. The app does not change the address in Shopify, so contact the customer yourself.

What does the SMS_NOT_SENT tag mean?

When we can't send the confirmation SMS for an order, we tag the order SMS_NOT_SENT and add a note with the reason: missing or invalid phone number, foreign number rejected by the carrier, provider error, insufficient wallet balance, or monthly plan limit reached.

You'll see a banner in the app with a link to these orders, and a daily summary email. Fix the cause (top up, upgrade, or contact the customer directly). For balance, provider or plan-limit issues, the SMS is sent automatically if Shopify resends the order webhook, and the tag is removed. Orders paid by card are skipped on purpose and are not tagged.

Which language are the SMS and the confirmation page in?

The SMS templates and the confirmation page are available in 13 languages (EN, RO, BG, EL, HU, PL, CS, SK, SR, ES, IT, PT, FR). You choose one language per store in Settings. The app interface itself is in English.

Which countries can I send SMS to?

SMS confirmations are supported in 12 countries: Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Spain. The price is $0.08 per SMS, with two exceptions: Bulgaria $0.12 and Serbia $0.16.

COD orders vs orders paid by card

The app sends SMS for unpaid orders such as cash on delivery. Orders already paid by card are sent an SMS only if you switch that on in Settings.

How does the SMS wallet work, and how do I top up?

SMS messages are billed at $0.08 per SMS from a prepaid wallet. Exceptions: Bulgaria $0.12, Serbia $0.16. New installs get a one-time $0.50 free SMS credit. You can top up anytime in fixed amounts: $5, $10, $25, $50 or $100, billed through Shopify.

Wallet credits are non-refundable and non-transferable, except where required by law. Unused credit remains available while the app is installed. See the Terms of Service.

What plans are there?

Plans are billed monthly through Shopify. Free: $0, up to 100 orders per month. Starter: $29/month, up to 500 orders. Growth: $59/month, up to 1,000 orders. Pro: $99/month, unlimited orders. SMS messages are billed separately from the wallet.

Paid plans include a free trial of 7 days, offered only on a store's first paid subscription. Prices can be reviewed on the pricing section.

How do I uninstall, and what happens to my data?

Uninstall the app from your Shopify admin; subscription charges stop according to Shopify's billing cycle. After uninstalling, we delete or anonymize your shop's order and customer data within 30 days, except limited records we must keep for legal, accounting or fraud-prevention purposes. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
